Dallas hair extensions

Hair replacement is an effective solution for those dealing with hair loss, and finding the right salon is crucial to achieving the desired results. Dallas has many hair replacement salons, making choosing the best one for your needs overwhelming.

The importance of choosing the right hair replacement salon cannot be overstated. A professional and experienced salon will provide you with the necessary guidance and services to achieve your desired results. Choosing the wrong salon, on the other hand, can lead to unsatisfactory outcomes, wasted time, and money. It’s essential to take the time to research and evaluate potential salons before making a decision. Here are some things to think about when choosing a salon.

Consider Your Needs

The first step in choosing the best hair replacement salon is to assess your specific hair replacement needs. Determine which type of hair replacement service you require, whether it is a hair transplant, wig, or hair system. Each hair replacement method has unique advantages and disadvantages, and understanding your options is crucial in making an informed decision. Identify which hair replacement salon in Dallas specializes in your specific needs to ensure they have the necessary expertise and equipment to provide the service you require.

Research Potential Salons

Searching for hair replacement salons in Dallas is the next step. Online searches, directories, and recommendations from friends and family can provide you with a list of potential salons. Reading reviews and testimonials from previous clients can give you insights into the salon’s services, customer service, and the quality of work they provide. Evaluating the salon’s reputation and experience can also help you narrow your list of potential salons.

Visit Salons and Consultations

Visiting potential hair replacement salons in Dallas is crucial to get a feel for the salon’s environment and the quality of its services. Request consultations with hair replacement specialists to discuss your needs, preferences, and expectations. This consultation will allow you to ask questions about the salon’s techniques, services, and pricing. Be sure to ask the specialist about the hair quality, the construction of the hair system, and the aftercare instructions.

Excellent Customer Service

Does your stylist show a genuine interest in you? Do they take time to get to know you, asking questions about your needs and desires, and lifestyle requirements? If you have concerns about hair loss or poor hair quality or just don’t feel good about your appearance, do they assist you in a compassionate way? Do they offer hair care and styling solutions that will meet your needs, greatly improve your looks and make you feel great about yourself?

Does your stylist suggest and provide you with options that will make you look and feel amazing? Do they have knowledge and training in facial analysis where style, color, texture, hair repair, and other enhancements can be combined to compliment your face and produce the best results? If your stylist’s actions are based on what you tell them you want, do you really know what you want, can have, and what to ask for? Too many times this is the case because you don’t know what you can have and what will make you look your best. This is where real professional advice based on knowledge, training, experience, and a genuine passion to help you, is essential.

Compare and Contrast Salons

After visiting potential salons and consulting with hair replacement specialists, compare and contrast the salons based on the information gathered. Evaluate each salon’s customer service, environment, and location. Consider the value and quality of the services provided, as well as the availability of aftercare services. Take into account the salon’s response time and their willingness to answer your questions.

The Final Decision

After comparing and contrasting the hair replacement salons visited, it is time to make a final decision. When making this decision, consider factors such as pricing, location, quality of service, and customer satisfaction. Be sure to take the time to weigh the pros and cons of each salon before making a decision. Once you have made your decision, schedule an appointment and follow up with the salon to ensure everything is in place for your hair replacement service.

Choosing the best hair replacement salon in Dallas is essential to achieving the desired results. Consider your needs, and potential research salons, visit salons and consultations, compare and contrast salons, and make a final decision.

A great hair loss solution for someone experiencing fine or thin hair on the top of your head, Onrite Gemtress brand offers several hair loss solutions in Dallas.  Onrite Gemtress has several solutions for affordable hair replacement that I offer as a Dallas hair replacement specialist.  Beyond integrated systems, they also offer human hair wigs.

How it works

Much like the microline, and Evolve Volumizer, these are integrated systems for top of the head volume.  Each system has a netted design that allows your own natural hair to integrate with the additional hair from the volumizers.  The end result is a seamless and blended hair style.  Onrite Gemtress works with great quality human hair that are able to be styled just like your own for an incredibly natural look.

Onrite Gemtress volumizers are applied using no heat, glue, or adhesives.  Micro-link cylinders are used to secure your natural hair to the volumizer.  Once applied, the volumizer is maintained in the salon every 4-6 weeks to make sure it remains safe and secure.   There is no harsh solution or heat needed to remove the links during maintenance, making the Onrite Gemtress a safe solution to your fine or thinning hair in Dallas.

Beyond their integrated volumizers, Onrite Gemtress offers a full line of customizeable wigs for someone who is experiencing hair loss beyond what a volumizer can help solve.

How it works

Much like the microline, and Onrite Gemtress volumizers, this is an integrated system for top of the head volume.  This system has a netted design that allows your own natural hair to integrate with the additional hair which gives you a seamless and blended hair style.  Since it is 100% human hair, you are able to style your hair exactly as you do with your own.

The volumizer is applied using no heat, glue, or adhesives.  Micro-link cylinders are used to secure your natural hair to the volumizer.  Once applied, the volumizer is maintained in the salon every 4-6 weeks to make sure it remains safe and secure.   There is no harsh solution or heat needed to remove the links during maintenance, making the Evolve a safe solution to your fine or thinning hair in Dallas.

The Evolve volumizer comes in three different densities so as to offer solutions for everyone – moderate to extreme hair loss.  It also comes in three textures, straight, wavy, or curly.  These options allow me to truly match your own hair density, and any wave pattern your natural hair may have.

Dallas hair extensions

The hairdreams highline hair extensions system is designed for top of the head fullness and scalp coverage at the crown.   For slight to mild thin hair around your crown, the Highlines hair volumizing hair extensions system is a great way to add significant volume and coverage.

About the Hairdreams Highlines Hair Extensions System

Hair extensions and hair replacement technology has made leaps and bounds with helping those who need more coverage and fullness on the top of the head.  Most traditional hair extensions systems are not designed to be worn on top of the head, but this system is.
The Highline is perfect for adding fullness to your crown area to add to your natural hair. Even if you don’t have thinning issues and just want to pump up your style, this system is an amazing way to add some body.

How it works

The Highline is a salon-installed extensions system that is attached to your natural hair much like the microline hair replacement system. Using a bonding ring, or mini hair extension beads, the piece is secured for 3-4 weeks.

Much like the Microline system, the Highline uses a net with hairdreams 7 star specialty hair attached. The net has spaces for your hair to be pulled through. This way the net works its way to your scalp, and the added hair and your hair blend together seamlessly.

Highline-Top-Piece-Dallas-InsideOut

Maintenance & Upkeep

After the initial application, you will need to have the Highlines piece maintained every 3-4 weeks. In this appointment, the piece is made sure to be as close to your scalp as possible so it always remains secure.  This system is designed for everyday wear for up to 9 months.

Highlines System + Hair Extensions

Since hair extensions can only be placed so far up the head so they aren’t visible, the Highlines system is designed to only fill in the top of the head, and add coverage around the crown.  If you also are needing to fill in your ends, it can definitely be worn with hair extensions.

Dallas hair extensions

One of our favorite brands of hair extensions is Hairdreams Hair Extensions.  Hairdreams offers hot fusion hair extensions, tape hair extensions, and top volumizer hair extensions for top of the head coverage.  Hairdreams is notorious for always offering the finest hair quality you can possibly find.  Here is a look into why we love Hairdreams

Hair Quality

Hairdreams hair extensions offer two hair qualities to best match to your own natural hair.  The hair qualities are labled “5 Star Quality” and “7 Star Quality.”

  • 5 Star Quality – This hair comes from China and is hand selected by Hairdreams strict quality control standards.  Since the hair is of Chinese origin, it is a thicker hair strand and is ideal if you have thick natural hair. 5 Star hair is available in these lengths: 12″, 16″, 20″.
  •  7 Star Special Quality – This hair is the absolute best hair you can get, from any company on the market today.   7 Star special quality hair has been hand selected, and sorted few hairs at a time to sort by quality, color, and length.  Once sorted, the hair is not chemically colored more than 1-2 shadesn only to modify the tone.  This hair originates from western European donors, which result in a fine hair strand that is perfect for someone with fine or thin hair.   Hairdreams even guarantees perfect 7 star special hair quality during the entire wearing period of 1.5 years.  7 star hair is available in these lengths: 10″, 14″, 18″, 22″

Application Methods & Options

Hairdreams offers several options when it comes to hair additions. Each offers different results, and here we will briefly explain each.

The most popular hair extensions method Hairdreams Hair Extensions offers is a hot fusioFusionn hair extensions system.   This is a single strand by strand method of adding hair extensions to your own hair.

Each hair extension strand has a tip that is used to attach to your hair. The bond tip is a thermoplastic nylon which softens with heat, and is wrapped around each section of your hair. When the nylon cools, it hardens and secures itself to your hair. There is no glue, or keratin used to adhere these extensions.

The difference between Hairdreams and other fusion hair extension systems is the way they attach to your hair, and how much is attached. Hairdreams offers different sizes of bonds so they really can be customized to your own hair type. There are regular, medium, small, and super-small bonds. This gives each hair type from very fine, or thick and coarse a match that prevents visibility.

Another benefit of Hairdreams is their thermoplastic nylon attachment. What does that mean? Basically, think of nylon: a fabric used in most athletic wear clothing. This fabric stretches, yet is very secure. Instead of using a glue or keratin bond like most other systems, the nylon bond is safe and secure, yet flexes and is removed easily.

tape hair extensions

Hairdreams also offers a version of tape hair extensions that uses their 5 star hair quality.

How long they last: 4-6 weeks.  These extensions are reusable, and can be re-installed once new tape is applied.  This keeps them close to your scalp, which adds comfort and keeps them discreet so they aren’t visible.

Who are they best for: Tape hair extensions are ideal for almost all hair types.  Here is an in-depth explanation of tape hair extensions.

Hair Loss & Thinning Hair Extensions

Hairdreams offers 3 types of Hair loss & Thinning Hair Extensions for top of the head coverage and fullness.

For someone experiencing thinning hair on top of the head, the Hairdreams Top Hair Replacement system is a great salon installed hair replacement system.  This system adds fullness and coverage for someone who has fine or a thinning hair part.

Why we love the Hairdreams Top Hair Replacement System

A Hairdreams Top hair hair extension topper is very lightweight, and undetectable but also adds a significant amount of volume and coverage right where you part your hair.   This system has a monofilament, hand tied base that resembles a scalp.  This allows you to have a very precise parting without showing the piece.

Who is a Hairdreams Top Hair Replacement System for?

The ideal client for Hairdreams Tophair hair extensions has fine, or slightly thinning hair on top of the head. The Tophair is attached to your hair using silicone lined hair extension beads that are specifically designed to be low profile and discreet.  The additional hair on the top hair system fills in your part with extra coverage, and the hair that falls adds fullness and 14″ of length.

Maintenance

Once installed, the top hair replacement system needs to be maintained every 3 weeks.  You alternate between two appointments, as we explain below:

Move-Up – This is a quick service that includes tightening the links that hold the system on to your own hair.

Removal/Re-Install – 3 weeks after a move-up appointment, you will need to have a removal/re-install appointment.  This includes completely removing the system, and re-installing it.

Dallas hair extensions

If you are looking for hair replacement extensions, the Hairdreams Microline Hair Extensions System is designed for people experiencing balding or thinning hair on top.  Traditional hair extensions are designed to add volume and length, but can not be used on top of the head.  The Hairdreams Microline Hair Extensions System specifically addresses the need for extra fullness, scalp coverage, and more volume within your hairstyle.

Why We Love the Hairdreams Microline Hair Replacement System

The Microline Hair Replacement System features a net design that utilizes a combination of hair from the system, and your natural hair.  The combination of your hair and the microline hair increases your overall volume, and adds a significant amount of hair that creates coverage and hides your scalp.

Traditional hair extensions will not work on top of the head since they are designed to have hair that covers the attachment.  The Hairdreams Microline is a system we offer for hair replacement in Dallas.  It helps fill in density, and when integrated with your own natural hair, will create a very huge difference in fullness.

Hair Quality

Each Hairdreams microline integrated hair replacement piece is hand made with Hairdreams 7-star special quality hair. It is attached to your natural hair with tiny silicone lined beads that hold it firmly in place. Your own natural hair is integrated through a net structure that literally disappears as if it comes directly from your scalp.

Options | Standard & Custom

Standard Microline

Ideal for someone with normal thinning.  The standard net size is 6 in long, and 5 in wide, with 11 inch hair length.  A standard microline can come with small, or wide net structure depending on how much coverage is needed to achieve your desired look.

Custom Microline

This microline system is just like it sounds: custom ordered. Based on your own individual needs, this can be made to suit you perfectly. If you have an issue with balding on the entire top of your head, we can have your custom microline designed to help hide the bald areas with a material that looks just like scalp, instead of the standard net.  We can also make the overall size of the microline system longer, or wider depending on the area we are looking to cover.  Custom microline systems can be ordered in lengths up to 16″ long.

A custom microline is made to order, with a 4 month production time since they are hand made in Austria.  The following video helps explain the process in which a hairdreams Microline is made so you can better understand the process.

Maintenance & Upkeep

Once installed, the microline hair replacement system needs to be maintained in-salon every 3-4 weeks.  You alternate between two appointments, as we explain below:

Move-Up – 3-4 weeks after your first installation, this is a quick service that includes tightening the links that hold the system on to your own hair.

Removal/Re-Install – 3-4 weeks after a move-up appointment, you will need to have a removal/re-install appointment.  This includes completely removing the system, and re-installing it.

After 6-8 months of wear, the microline will need to be sent back to Hairdreams to be refurbished.  This ensures the net is always in pristine condition and the microline hair doesn’t prematurely shed.  Microline refurbishing takes 8-16 weeeks, so we always recommend having two microline hair replacment systems.  While one is being refurbished, you wear your other so you never go without.

Dallas hair extensions

Interested in Fusion hair extensions in Dallas?  As hair extensions specialists, we work with many brands, and offer many types of hair extensions to match every hair type and lifestyle.  Here, we will take a look at fusion hair extensions and help answer any questions you may have.

What are fusion hair extensions?

Fusion Hair Extensions use small bundles of strands that are connected to a tip that is made of some form of adhesive: keratin, nylon, crystal bond are a few of the most common materials used. When this adhesive material is heated with extension tools, it slowly softens to a gel like adhesive.  We then wrap this adhesive bond around a section of your hair, and it cools almost immediately.  Once cooled, these extensions will remain in your hair for 3-6 months.  At that point, they need to be removed, and a new set installed.

Recommended Hair Types

The fusion hair extension method can be used on all hair types, but in our professional opinion, this type of system is best for someone with normal – thick hair strands, and density.  The reason we do not recommend these extensions for someone with fine hair strands is the increased possibility of damage to fine and weak strands.

Facts

  •  Fusion hair extensions will remain installed for 3-6 months.  The amount of time they remain is a personal preference, and depending on the brand used for installation.  Some are meant to last longer, some shorter.
  • Fusion hair extensions can not be moved up, or re-used.
  • These extensions take more time than most others to install, which explains why they come with a higher installation price.

When it comes to hair extensions, we know what it takes to maintain their health and condition by using our favorite products for hair extensions.  Our recommended (and favorite) brush for hair extensions is The Wet Brush.  With its simple, yet genius design, it is offers great detangling of your natural hair, while not harming the hair extensions attachments.

WetBrushDallas

Why we love The Wet Brush

The Wet Brush can be used on wet or dry hair and is perfect for all hair types. It features a soft, non-slip rubber grip for a secure, comfortable hold, and is very lightweight.  The Intelli-flex bristles move and flex through tangles, and hair extensions attachments.  Normal brushes have stiff bristles that rake through tangles which can cause hair breakage, and can tug on your hair extensions.  This brush works very gently, yet effectively without the risk of damage.

Wet Hair Tips

Pro tip: We recommend using your wet brush when doing a pre-shampoo treatment, hair masque, or even after applying your hair products to your hair.  The soft, flexible bristles are great at making sure you dispense the product to all of your strands.  This ensures even coverage, and optimal results of the conditioner, masque, or styling products you are using.
