This before and after picture is of a client who just had her first hair replacement installed in Dallas. We went with a integrated hair topper piece from the Onrite Gemtress collection. Hair toppers are something I do for clients who have fine or thin hair and/or a visible scalp. It adds hair to the entire top of the head as you can see. How does it work?

 

The Onrite Gemtress collection has an incredible amount of options when it comes to hair replacement and/or wigs. They vary in size, density, length, and shape so there are options for every circumstance. We fitted this client with a Ruby integrated hair topper.  After having our consultation, I matched her color and ordered the volumizer. It takes about 2 hours to install and cut the top volumizer to blend into her hair and create the style. These toppers are installed without the use of braiding, sewing, or any kind of glue/adhesive. After the initial install, she will visit the salon every 4-6 weeks to have it moved up, and re-installed. On a day to day basis, she washes and styles it as if it were her own hair.

 

Why not a Wig?

 

Because she has a fair amount of natural hair of her own, she was mainly looking to add volume to the top so she has more bounce, and can have more flexibility in her haircut style. The benefit of a top volumizer is that her hair is pulled through the netted design so your scalp can “breathe.” With a wig, it sits on top of your hair, this is quite the opposite.
