Dallas hair extensions

Lately have noticed something that needs to be discussed: Plucking your gray hairs from your head. No ma’am, this is a big no-no! Let’s break this down.

When you pluck your eyebrows, do they grow back? Yes. So, if we pluck a single hair (which usually falls along where you part your hair, and is the most visible part of your head’s profile) is it going to grow back just like an eyebrow? Yes! Not only is it going to grow back, it’s going to grow back in it’s normal state: still gray!

At average, hair grows around .5 inch every month. So, after plucking that darn gray, you are setting yourself up for a whole other problem. In a month, that hair will then have grown a good half inch, which means one thing: It’s going to be standing straight up making its presence known to everyone who sees you. Hair, when short, does not have enough weight to follow suit with the rules of gravity. It will take several months of new growth to finally give that hair enough weight to fall back in line with the rest of your locks. In the mean time, you’re stuck with this stubborn hair that won’t lay down with the rest of your style.

Think about it…if you pluck one hair a week for a year, that’s 50 hairs all over the top of your head that are growing back at different rates, and you begin realizing that your hair is frizzy, and you can’t ever get those little hairs to stay down. There’s only one fix: stop plucking the grays, and just come in for a root touch up.
